One of the hardest transition periods in Aspen is when summer ends the leaves go through their beautiful change and then they fall to the ground. The weather starts to get cold and it snows. You cannot go skiing yet and Halloween just ended. The mountain doesn't open unit Thanksgiving so you ask yourself what to do for the the next 3 weeks. Here are some suggestions.
1. Watching football
Always has the games on and some nice big screen TVs. With their place right downtown, street level you can enjoy the game, some good bar specials and not feel like your in a cave because of all the natural light.
As a performance venue they will show the big game on a 16 foot screen with awesome sound and a great burger special.
A good place to go for the evening games with sushi and beer specials on Mondays.
2. Live Music and Movies at Belly Up
Will be closed a few days out of the month but when they are not they will still bring in inexpensive acts to provide something to do for those who are in town. Acts and free movies on their 16 foot screen this off season like..
Whitewater Ramble 11/10
Dead Floyd 11/11
Free Movies like..
Baby Driver 11/15
Slopeside Lanes in Snowmass Village
8 lanes with cushy leather couches that seat up to 6 per lane and many have high definition TV’s including 2 monster 300 inch projection screens!
Bowllounge in El Jabel
16 regulation length lanes. a huge bar with at least 20 beer taps, local craft beers and cocktails, retro video games, 2 pool tables and buck hunter and a new golden tee and more.
So get out there and keep yourself busy in Aspen during our shoulder season.
