Summer in Aspen (7 things to do)

Welcome to Aspen there are many things to do in the ski resort town in the summer read below for 5 great options.

1. WHITE WATER RAFTING

Whether you want a class 2 or 3 mild, fun, scenic tour with the kids or an exciting class 4 or 5 trip with your adventurous friends companies like Aspen Whitewater Rafting can provide you with great guides and snacks when you make it to the take-out spot.

2. STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING

There are 2 places around aspen to paddle board. We have stillwater which is part of the roaring fork river and reudi reservoir, both have beautiful scenery one is flowing water with no rapids and the other is a lake. You will need transportation to and from either of them so either use your rental car or hire Nomi Limo to get you there.

3. PAONIA WINE TOURS

Many people do realize that there are great wineries in Colorado and about 1.5 hours from aspen you can see what Paonia has to offer. Wineries Like Black Bridge and West Elk allow visitors to come and taste all their wines. Reserve your car today to experience a wine tour with breathtaking views.

4. GOLF

There are multiple golf courses around Aspen, Pretty much all of them are beautiful some are private and others are public. You will need a vehicle to access them but courses include but not limited to. Aspen Public, Snowmass, Iron Bridge, Roaring Fork, RVR.

5. FLY FISHING

Companies like Aspen Outfitting have been taking people of all experience levels on the river and teaching them the techniques to catch fish even on their very first time.

6. HORSEBACK RIDING

Horseback riding is another option. There are companies that do day tours or multiple day tours throughout the Rockies. Aspen Outfitting, Snowmass Creek Outfitters and T Lazy 7 are just 3 of the options.

7. OF CORSE HIKING

There are many trails in and around town. Just to name a few; Ute, Hunter Creek, Redd Butte, Smuggler, Conundrum. If your feeling ambitious there is a beautiful (6 hour) hike to Crested Butte though wild flowers fields and you will need a ride to the trail head and a ride back from crested butte.
